Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between Biodegradable and Recyclable?

    Biodegradable (PLA) breaks down in compost conditions. Recyclable (Mono-PE) can be re-processed into new plastic products. We offer both.

  • What is the shelf life of PLA compostable bags?

    Typically 12 months under dry, cool storage conditions. We recommend ordering smaller batches more frequently for PLA products.

  • Can sustainable bags hold liquids or hot products?

    Mono-PE is excellent for liquids. PLA is heat-sensitive and generally recommended for dry goods (coffee, snacks) only.

  • Is the barrier property as good as traditional foil bags?

    Mono-PE can achieve high barriers (EVOH). PLA has moderate barriers, but we offer high-barrier PLA laminates for coffee application.
