Compared to standard compostable bags, we utilize proprietary metallized or high-barrier cellulose layers to block moisture and UV light. Our biodegradable pouches offer the same shelf-life protection as traditional foil bags—guaranteed.
● Essential for fresh roasted coffee. Our bio-valves allow CO2 to escape without letting oxygen in, preventing your bag from bursting while keeping beans fresh.
● Pocket Zipper (Bio): A tear-strip protected zipper that is easy to fill and provides tamper evidence.
● Tin Tie Compatible: We can apply adhesive bio-based tin ties for the classic coffee shop look and easy resealing.
● We use water-based inks that are free from heavy metals, ensuring the printed biodegradable tea pouches break down safely in compost heaps without toxic residue.
● Standard PLA films are breathable, which is bad for coffee.
● We co-extrude multi-layer structures specifically for aroma retention.
● Structure A (High Barrier): Kraft Paper / NK (NatureFlex™) / PBS. The NK layer provides oxygen and moisture barriers comparable to metallized plastic.
● Structure B (Metallized Bio): Paper / Metallized-PLA / PBS. A reflective layer blocks UV light and extends shelf life to 12+ months.
● By blowing our own bio-sealant film (PBS/PBAT), we optimize the seal strength to withstand the weight of 1kg coffee beans without bottom-seal failure.
We don't guess; we test. Our lab conducts rigorous OTR (Oxygen Transmission Rate) testing on all biodegradable coffee pouches. We can prove that our high-barrier bio-films maintain an OTR of < 2.0 cc/m²/day, ensuring your premium coffee tastes just as good in our bio-bags as it does in foil.
Beware of "fake green" claims. Our raw materials (PLA, NK, PBS) and finished pouches hold valid TUV Austria OK Compost and BPI certificates. We provide full traceability documents to help you pass retail sustainability audits.
